If you have been court-ordered to go into some type of treatment center, you may have a vision in your mind of what it is like.
If you have seen a lot of television shows on rehab, then you might think that 90 days in rehab is some sort of drug- and alcohol-free vacation, but it is not.
That being said, it doesn't have to be a miserable experience either, and if you do some research on alcohol rehab facilities before you go in, you should be able to find some kind of happy medium.
Rehab should never be a vacation - it is treatment.
You are in there not as a reward and not as punishment, but for a way to deal with a disease that you have.
Alcohol rehab facilities in general are comfortable but not luxurious, and if you are looking for a facility that offers the most perks then perhaps your mind is not yet in the right place.
All you should be looking for is a way to remain sober.
When you are researching different alcohol rehab facilities, you should be looking for success rate and the certifications and experience of the people who will be involved in your treatment, and you may even be given the chance to speak to some of their "graduates," who can give you a very good idea of what your day-to-day life will be like in rehab.
There is a wide variety of rehab treatment centers for people suffering from alcoholism, and by taking the time to speak to a few of them, you will get an idea as to what they can offer you in terms of treatment as well as what your living arrangements will be.
Remember that rehab is not vacation, but it doesn't mean that you should be living in squalor, either.
