Common Good Books and Nina"s Cafe, on Cathedral Hill

106 33
Across the street from the charming W.A. Frost restaurant in St. Paul's historic Cathedral Hill district, Common Good Books (165 Western Ave. N, 651-225-8989) was opened by legendary bard and NPR personality Garrison Keillor in 2006. The cozy independent bookshop has a very good GLBT section, plus an excellent variety of books on the region. Common Good is below the inviting, gay-friendly coffeehouse, Nina's Cafe, a cheerful spot that's perfect for curling up with one of the books you've just purchased downstairs.
