A dynamic tendency
Google has a tendency to take part in anything it can. And this tendency has taken Google to the politics this time…
Yes, Google has started its own statistics on internet. It now shows the people about the election search terms (that are searched using Google) on a separate tab.
People can search their respective parties, know their search terms and compare with other parties using that feature. The feature is considered as a new tool that will modernize the elections and bring a realistic as well as corruption free graphical analysis to people.
In addition, if it goes on like this, then in the near future Google will be operating elections of different countries through its own applications.
SO, what we find by this?
Is Google plunging in to national matters?
In fact, yes Google if plunging in to national interests. However, the problem is, can we do anything about it? No.
Because, as Google is a private ‘privacy' enterprise. It has the equipment, the resource and the data needed to do that. IT can deliberately or not, gets access to any website using bots and there is nothing, you can do about it.
So, what are we looking here for? Can Google cast an influence on the world through its service? In addition, my opinion for that is in affirmative. As Google, and other social networking sites are those companies that are having data about people. They can very much cast influence over people in the near future. Because what do we need to influence people? Their information, right, that is freely available on these social networking sites. Its just the way of usage.
Is it a security threat to national interest?
Not right now, to become a security threat a company needs army. In addition, in that Multi National Companies lack in advance. So, the security threat is out of the question for now. However, influence and by cast in other ways. And as Google operate from California, which is situated in America. Likely if it becomes government owned than that would be a considered a security threat. However, that question is still, not a necessary assumption right now.
Should not we stop it?
The question should be, how can we stop it? The best way to do that is not to be available online. Create a network of your own among your counter parts so that Google cannot index anything that you do. Like militaries, use and we call the Dark net.
