25% Increased Chance of Blocking 35% Faster Block Rate Stormshield raises a characters chance of blocking with a shield by 25%.
The only Unique shield that surpasses this is Gerke's Sanctuary, which offers a 30% Increased Chance of Blocking.
However, Gerke's Sanctuary lacks the Faster Block Rate which Stormshield has.
Since the game has to play a blocking animation whenever the character gets hit and manages to block with a shield, having a faster block rate would mean that the character could get out of blocking animation sooner and follow up on the damage caused.
Paladins get the most out of these two mods, as due to their usual stat point allocation and their defensive Skills, they can max the potential of any shield they utilize.
