- 1). Log into the Microsoft Exchange server with an administrator account.
- 2). Launch the "Active Directory Users and Computers" tool.
- 3). Click on the symbol next to your domain name to expand the section, then click on the users section for that domain. This will display the current user list for the Exchange server.
- 4). Right-click a user name and choose "Exchange Tasks" from the menu. This will launch the Exchange Task Wizard.
- 5). Navigate to the "Available Tasks" page of the wizard.
- 6). Choose "Configure Exchange Features" and click the "Next" button.
- 7). Click the "User initiated synchronization" option, then select "Enable."
- 8). Click "Next" to confirm the changes, then click "Finish" to exit the Exchange Task Wizard.
- 9). Repeat this process for each user to enable the Active Sync tool on their individual account. Once this is complete, the user should have permission to synchronize compatible mobile devices to the Exchange server mailbox.
