    • 1). Go to mp3mer.com, makeownringtone.com or www.tonebee.com and click on the "Upload" button. These websites are free online services that will allow you to convert your MP3 into ring tone format and then send it to your phone. The "Upload" button is on the left side of the screen and is designated with an up-arrow symbol on all three sites.

    • 2). Browse through your computer files and locate the MP3 file you want to upload to MP3mer. Once you find the file, double-click on it and it will load into the program.

    • 3). Use the audio markers to designate where you want to start and stop your ring tone. You can place one marker where you want your ring tone to start, and the second marker where you want your ring tone to end. If you want to use the entire file as a ring tone, just place the markers at the very beginning and very end of the file.

    • 4). Play through the selected portion of your file to make sure it is what you want. If you don't like it, you can reposition the markers however you like.

    • 5). Click "Download" and then select to download your ring tone to your computer. Save your newly created ring tone to your desktop.

    • 6). Connect your cell phone to your computer with the USB cable that came with your cell phone. Plug one end of the cable into your phone, and the other end into the USB port on your computer.

    • 7). Open your cell phone's folder on your computer. It will be in the "My Computer" folder listed under "Devices With Removable Storage." Double-click on it.

    • 8). Click on the ring tone you saved to your desktop, and drag it and drop it into your cell phone's folder. Wait for the transfer to complete and then exit out of all your folders.

    • 9). Remove your cell phone from your computer by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the bottom right toolbar on your desktop. Select your device from the list and then click "Remove" You can now unplug your cell phone from your computer.

      Go onto your cell phone and open the music folder where your ring tone has been transferred. You can now set the file as a ring tone.
