How to Fix an Uplander Rear Window Wiper
- 1). Check that the wiper assembly is working normally. To do this, remove the fuse panel cover underneath the steering wheel. Pull the fuse for the rear wiper motor with the fuse puller in the fuse box. Check for damage and see that the metal strip inside the fuse is not broken or burnt. Replace a damaged fuse with a new fuse of the same amperage.
- 2). Pull the rear wiper arm assembly away from the rear window until the hinge on the Uplander's wiper arm locks.
- 3). Check for debris under the wiper. Clean away any debris from the rear wiper blade and wiper arm.
- 1). Pull the rear wiper arm assembly away from the rear window until the hinge on the Uplander's wiper arm locks.
- 2). Swing the inside edge of the rear wiper blade away from the wiper arm so that the blade sits perpendicular to the wiper arm.
- 3). Pull the wiper blade off the wiper arm. It is not held to the arm with anything (you must have the wiper perpendicular to the arm, however, to pull it off the arm).
- 4). Insert the new wiper blade with the same orientation as the old wiper blade.
- 5). Fold the wiper blade back against the wiper arm and lower the arm to the rear window.
