How to Clean Wind Chimes Made of Shells

    • 1). Fill the bucket with warm, soapy water.

    • 2). Dip the wind chime in the bucket and remove it immediately. If the top is made out of a material you'd prefer not to get wet, dip the shell portion of the wind chime. Lay the wind chime on a clean towel

    • 3). Dip the soft brush in the bucket of soapy water and begin gently cleaning each shell. Be sure to brush the inside of the shells where dirt collects easily. Dip the brush in the soapy water again each time you notice that it's visibly dirty.

    • 4). Discard the soapy water and fill the bucket with clear water. Dip the wind chime in it to rinse it. Lay it out on another clean towel.

    • 5). Rub the wind chime with the towel to get excess moisture off of it. Leave the wind chime to air dry on the towel for several hours before you rehang it.
