How to Hide GPS Wires
- 1). Extend the wire from your GPS to the front of your windshield. Use a few pieces of tape as you run the wire as tight to the windshield on the bottom against the dash to hide it from easy viewing, until you reach the driver's side of your windshield.
- 2). Slide the wire under the molding on the side of the driver's side window. To guide the wire under the molding, use the blunt end of a knife or screwdriver to guide the wire under the molding on the inside, into the open space between the molding and window and out the molding near the windshield on the driver's side of the car.
- 3). Pry up the molding at the top of the driver's side window so that you can slide the wire around the window and outside to the roof of the car. There is enough space for the wire to be pressed between the molding and window so it will not affect the opening and closing of the door.
- 4). Use your knife or screwdriver to guide the wire just underneath the rubber seal on the top of your windshield, as this will hide the wire outside the vehicle as well.
- 5). Place your GPS transmitter at the center front of your car's roofline, where the windshield meets the roof. Connect the transmitter to the wire you have run under the molding.
