How to Install a Sata Raid Driver
- 1). Restart the computer with the Windows installation disc in your optical or floppy drive.
- 2). Press any key when prompted to "Press any key to boot from disc..." after restarting the computer.
- 3). Watch the bottom status bar of the Windows setup utility for the words "Press F6 to install a third party SCSI or RAID Driver." Press F6 when you see this prompt.
- 4). Insert your motherboard manufacturer's driver disc.
- 5). Press the "S" key at the next screen to enter the SATA RAID driver load menu.
- 6). Select the drivers you wish to install. Each driver selection will be specific to the operating system you intend to install on the machine later. Keep in mind you do not have to install the same version of Windows whose setup disc you are using to install your SATA RAID drivers.
- 7). Press "S" again on the following screen to confirm the drivers you wish to install.
- 8). Press the "Enter" key when prompted to finish the SATA RAID driver installation process.
