    Tulle Knots

    • Add a bright splash of color to any chair using simple tulle fabric. Found in any fabric store, tulle is lightweight, easy to work with and available in a wide variety of colors. Knot one end of tulle on one side of the chair, then bring a short length up and across the back at an angle. Tie a knot on the opposite end to hold the fabric in place. Add silk flowers to further embellish the look.

    Chair Weave

    • Buy organza fabric in two different colors, preferably the wedding colors, to create a woven design that will serve as a faux chair back. Cut four lengths of each color, approximately twice as long as the back of the chair when measuring horizontally. Tie four strips of one color horizontally across the back of the chair, spacing each equally apart. Knot the fabric at each end of the chair to hold it in place. Weave the lengths of the second color vertically through the fabric that has been tied to the chair, loom-style, using an alternating over-and-under basket weave pattern. Leave one long end of the fabric dangling down the side of the chair for a more dramatic look.

    Linen Chair Covers

    • Linen chair covers are one of the more common types of chair decorations used in wedding events. Linen chair covers are often white. Organza or satin sashes, in one of the wedding colors, are tied around the back of each chair to add bright color. Spice up the traditional wedding chair look with patterned linen covers, rather than standard white.
