Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls Game 2 Review

101 27
The Miami Heat were able to take game two of the Eastern Conference Finals 85 to 75 and even the series up at 1-1. They now find themselves in a really good position heading home to Miami for games 3 and 4. In this article we will look at some of the important factors in this series and some things that Chicago will need to do to win the series and get to the NBA Finals.

After crushing the Heat in game one 103 to 82 the Bulls had a game they would like to forget in game two. Derrick Rose was just 7 for 23 from the floor and managed 21 points for the game after going 7 for 10 from the free throw line. This was one of his worst performaces in the past few months and it came at an inconvienant time when the Bulls could have went up 2-0 on the Heat and really put the pressure on heading into Miami. The game two loss should not hang solely on Rose's shoulders though as he didn't get much help from anyone else. Luol Deng was the next leading scorer with only 13 points on 5 of 15 shooting. Carlos Boozer once again disappeared and proved to be a non-factor going just 3 for 10 and only 7 points.

One thing Tom Thibodeau will have to consider is giving Taj Gibson more minutes and more of an offensive role in the remaining games. He has played well and gives them some more athleticism to match up better with the Heat.  If Boozer continues to struggle he will need to give Gibson some more of Boozer's minutes.

A very promising showing by Udonis Haslem in game two give the Heat something to be excited about moving forward in the series. He gives them some toughness inside and someone to do the dirty work and as long as he can continue to stay healthy and have the stamina to stay on the floor for an extended period of time he could have a big impact on them moving on to the NBA Finals.

The Bulls will have their work cut out for them now but still have a shot to win the series with having home court advantage but they now have to win atleast one game in Miami.
