How To Choose Your Perfect Wedding Music

When I think of weddings one of my favourite parts, other than the dress, is when he bride makes her entrance. So much emotion is in this tiny part of the whole day, the groom is presented with his precious bride- who spent hours getting ready! And the bride can't wait to be brought to her fianc.
And what makes this scene more powerful is the music which accompanies it. This can be anything- it use to be custom to have the bridal march- which fits a wedding but luckily people have brought their own imaginative ideas to the table and personalised this part of their wedding.
There are so many love songs to choose from with such amazing music- it seems overwhelming to pick just one, so how do you decide?
1. Make sure you discuss it together. As you will be reminded it is not just the brides' day  this is a joint decision and should be something that you both agree on. This way you can make it a really personal and special moment.
2. When choosing your song make sure it fits. If your song has words make sure they are appropriate and proper for a wedding, make sure the time it right so the words you want are played at the right moments when walking down. This also means timing when the bride shall come in to which part of the song. Practice walking to your song, make sure you get the right pace for the bridal party and make it look good.
3. Think of the sound. Decide whether to have a CD audio playing or musical items. Think which best suits your song and also remember the ending. With a CD it would be best to have a short song which came to a close rather than just fading it out, however with a musical quartet they can customise the length and parts of the song to the specifications of your choice.
4. Remember the Exit. If you have a few of your favourite songs which you can't decide between, remember you have more chances to use them in the ceremony. The signing of the register and the exit are again supported by music. So use your favourites for all these sections, but try to keep them in a similar theme so it fits together and creates a beautiful feeling.
Lastly I would advise that this is your day! It only happens once so take care but enjoy the tiny details of the day that will make it perfect for you.
And to let you know at my own wedding my husband and I had such a wide range of songs that meant so much to us it was difficult to choose.
However we went through them and decided for the entrance to be "Moonriver", although the words were not relevant we had it played on the piano and it was a beautiful piece of music which was perfect for us.
The signing of the register we chose "Unchained Melody" again played on the piano which significant to us.
And to exit we had The Carpenters "Only Just Begun", a song which we both loved and was particularly relevant to us on our wedding day.
Enjoy looking through your favourite love songs and I hope you can find one that fits for the both of you.
