Smokey Robinson debuts at number one on the Billboard R&B Album Chartfor the week of August 31, 2014 with his new CD Smokey and Friends. Trey Songz' Trigga remains at number two. Tank's Stronger CD, which debuted at number one, falls to number three. Beyonce's self-titled CD jumps three places from seven to number four. John Legend's Love In The Future remains at number five.

The remainder of the top ten: Michael Jackson's Xscape (six), Pharrell WilliamsG I R L (seven), Testimony by August Alsina (eight), Mali Is by Mali Music (Nine), and Beautiful Life by Chuck Brown and The Chuck Brown Band debuts at ten.

Smokey Robinson's Smokey & Friends" duets CD debuts at number one selling 14,000 copies and replacing Tank's Stronger CD at the top of the chart.
