How to Make a Doggie Birthday Cake
- 1). Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
- 2). Mix 3 cups of all purpose flour and 1 tbsp. of baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
- 3). Combine 1/2 cup of softened margarine, 5 large eggs and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a separate mixing bowl, and stir until the mixture is smooth.
- 4). Stir in the 2 jars of strained beef baby food and 2 cups of finely shredded carrots and mix well. Add the flour mixture and continue to stir until the mixture is combined.
- 5). Spread the batter in the greased and floured cake pans and bake the doggie birthday cake for 1 hour. Remove the cakes from the pans and allow them to cool on wire racks.
- 6). Make the doggie cake frosting. Place 8 oz. of cream cheese and 1 small container of yogurt in a small mixing bowl and mix well. Blend in 1 tsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of vanilla.
- 7). Place one cake layer on a piece of cardboard or serving tray, and spread frosting over the top. Place the second cake over the first, and spread frosting on the entire cake.
