Let's face it, when it comes to women, taking care of self flies out the window. It doesn't seem to matter whether women are married with children, single mothers, or just plain single, women tend not to take very good care of themselves. It is time for that to change. Women of the world unite, and take care of each other and yourself.

Women have never had a better position in the United States to begin to assert themselves and get what they need. Watching the television, women are all over the world have to tolerate horrible treatment by those around them. Women in the United States can begin the change and stand up for themselves.

Women are a vital part of the workforce. They run companies, care for families, and husbands, and still manage to make sweeping changes in policy. Single mother's need the support of their communities, but so often they are tested by the powers that be. Married women with children, whether they work at home, away from home, or both, are expected to be all. Single women have to balance their job or career with developing some kind of social life. These days none of these tasks are easy.

So how do women care for themselves? Not well! Ask a woman you know when was the last vacation they had and see what they say. Ask a mother when the last time was that she gave herself permission to do something for herself. She may look at you blankly, but keep asking. Women are the role models for the next generation, and they are not super-women! Women in the work force feel pressure to keep up, but at what cost.

Take some time to encourage a woman in your life to take care of herself. Send her a pick-me-up. Give her a card. Take her to lunch. Don't forget the single moms you know. They need a night out now and then. Sometimes, just going to the grocery store without attachments is a joy! Take some time to do something. It will come back to you in return.
