How to Calculate the Current Value of Bonds
- 1). Visit the Treasury Direct website. This is an official website that is overseen by the United States Department of the Treasury.
- 2). Click the "Enter" option that is located under the Individuals section. Select the "Tools" tab on the top of the next page.
- 3). Select "Savings Bond Calculator."
- 4). Click the "Get Started" link that is underneath the "Savings Bond Calculator" section.
- 5). Select your bond series from the drop-down menu. For example, you can choose EE Bonds, I Bonds, E Bonds or Savings Notes.
- 6). Select the denomination of your savings bond from the "Denomination" drop-down list. The denomination is the bond's face value. You can select $10 all the way up to $10,000.
- 7). Enter the serial number for your bond into the "Bond Serial Number" box.
- 8). Enter the date the bond was issued in the "Issue Date" field.
- 9). Press "Calculate" to calculate the current value of your bond.

Repeat Steps 5 through 9 for each savings bond you want to check the value for.
