Something For Christians to Think About - Who is Telling the Truth?
This question could also apply to other religions and spiritual practitioners.
Have you ever wondered if your religious beliefs are right or not? Have you ever doubted something that one of your religious leaders was teaching about? Who is telling the truth and how can we get to the bottom of it? I was thinking about something the other day while watching one of my religious documentaries.
Every once in a while something pops into my mind that gets me thinking and I usually love to share them with other people.
There are some of course that I can't mention to anybody, if you know what I mean.
If I tell 10 people a lie and convince them that I'm telling them the truth, would this be a problem? If I was to convince 10 people that everything I said was right and they shouldn't ever doubt what I said and they believed me, would this be wrong? A man named Jesus 2000 years ago convinced 12 people that he was right and convince others that he was a miracle and a miracle producer.
These 12 people and others convinced other people that Jesus was something special and they never even took the time to question the information they were receiving.
What started with a small group of people has evolved into all most one third of everyone living on the planet today.
That's hard to imagine, but there are almost 2 billion Christians alive today.
If no one ever takes the time to find out, whether Jesus was actually God or not, how will we ever know? If Jesus was God, why does Christianity spend so much time avoiding the facts? You now have something to think about and it's up to you, to find out who's actually telling the truth and who is lying.
I would like to share something else with you that I feel is very important.
Most people can be easily convinced to believe anything that they hear from someone else.
They rarely question information that comes from authoritative figures like news broadcasters, high profile entertainers and of course religious leaders.
Have you ever stopped to think about how many times these people have lied to you and you never even took the time to find out why?
