The Epicure: A Foodie"s Ultimate Getaway
Eight-course meals prepared by chefs with three Michelin stars, classes on caviar and champagne, and the grand rooms of one of Europe's best hotels—this is The Epicure in Zurich, a four day culinary extravaganza that will be held at the five-star Dolder Grand this September 17th to 20th.
Throughout the day, guests can attend masterclasses on subjects like rum, chocolate, champagne, caviar, and wine.
At night, eight-course dinners are held in the Dolder Grand's Restaurant (two chefs collaborate on dinner, each preparing an amuse-bouche each and four courses including aperitif and wine pairing). A few of the names in the kitchen this year: Gert De Mangeleer of Belgium's Restaurant Hertog Jan, Quique Dacosta of Spain's Restaurant Quique Dacosta, and Christian Bau of Germany's Victor’s Fine Dining by Christian Bau. Tickets to the dinners also include a night's stay at the circa 1899 Dolder Grand and access to one of the city's largest spas where guests can opt for decadent treatments like the "Caviar Lift Facial."
