Installing Pergo Wall Molding
- 1). Measure the first wall of the room to receive Pergo wall molding with a tape measure.
- 2). Mark the length of the first wall on a piece of molding with a pencil.
- 3). Cut a length of Pergo wall molding to length. Set the power miter box to cut a 45-degree angle. Place the 90-degree corner of the molding onto the bed of the power miter box. Align the pencil mark with the saw of the power miter box. Close the miter box bed clamp to hold the wall molding in position. Cut the 45-degree angle on the first length of the trim. Flip the trim and cut a 45-degree angle on the other end of the wall molding.
- 4). Set the cut piece of molding against the first wall.
- 5). Secure the wall molding to the wall with 1-inch finish nails. Set one finishing nail every 16 inches through the wall molding and into the wall with a hammer.
- 6). Place the point of a nail set onto the head of each finish nail. Strike the back of the nail set with a hammer to recess the nail below the surface of the wall molding.
- 7). Install the wall molding in the rest of the room.
- 8). Fill each nail hole and corner seam with Pergo touch-up putty to finish the installation.
