Friends DVDs are popular purchases all over the world after this famous TV series ran for a total of 10 seasons and an incredible 236 episodes, with the quality remaining high throughout. Few comedy series have received such praise for so long and from so many different quarters. The beauty of Friends was in the characters in the show who gelled together brilliantly.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer were not well known actors at the beginning of Friends, but have now risen on the back of the show's success to become high-ranking Hollywood actors since the show finished. The show's incredible success meant that it ran for an almost unprecented 10 seasons which are now available together as a complete season boxset.

The actors mentioned previously played the roles of Rachel Green, Monica Geller, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and Ross Geller. These characters became Friends as the show continued across the first season and eventually shared their homes and lives together, with some even marrying each other. The audience tended to grow up with the show whilst around the same age, helping them to feel close to the storylines and it's eccentric characters.

DVD Boxsets are the most frequently bought versions of the original Friends series for those who never got around to buying any of the original series, though many were left with having to buy up the remaining series to complete a full collection that many Friends fans placed a great importance upon because of their loyalty to the show which seemed to breed large numbers of highly committed fans, right across America and the rest of the world.

There is no doubt that Friends DVD boxsets which capture the full impressive collection of ten seasons of Friends will continue to be popular for many years after the ending of the show because of the reasons mentioned in this article. The closure of the programme was widely publicised and achieved the status of being one of the major moments in recent American TV history.
