How to Speed Up the Bootup of Vista
- 1). Click "Start" from the Windows Vista desktop.
- 2). Load "msconfig" in Vista by typing its program name into the "Search" box. Windows will search for and locate the "msconfig" executable file. Click on its name to load the utility.
- 3). Click the "Startup" tab in the Vista msconfig utility.
- 4). Click the "Disable All" button to disable all program that start when Vista loads.
- 5). Click "Apply." Click "Restart" from the window that appears. Windows Vista will now restart. When Windows Vista boots back up, none of the programs that were previously loading on start up will continue to do so. You will see Windows Vista booting up exponentially faster than it did before.
