Croatia has the best the eastern side of Europe has to offer. The wealth of history there is unbelievable can leave a lasting impression on your outlook of life that stays with you forever. There are small villages and rustic islands. There are forest filled hills that go on forever where one could go camping for days and night on end.

The best time to visit the country of Croatia is during the months of April and the month of September. There is a medieval city called Dubrovnik that has an unbelievable history. The city still has cobblestone streets and teracotta tiles. It makes you feel as if you were still in some 15th century city where time has compleletley stood still and hasnt changed one bit.

You can spend time in the Venetian harbour town of Hvar where there incredibley the sun happens to shine for 300 out of the 365 days a year. Something we would all love to have by us.

As far as taking the time to eat and find the local foods, you will find there are a few specialties that one can really get used to. One would be a cevepcici with in some terms would be a spiced meatball. They also have a balkin classic that is also something great to enjoy. and that is pasticada which is beef that is stuffed with bits and peices and roasted in wine and wonderful spices

As far as drinking goes I can tell you they have thier own classic history making spirited beverage. The name of it is sljivovica and it is very wide spread and enjoyed by many. But keep in mind that this can be quite a spirited drink and not a beverage for some.
