• Vineyards provide a spacious and natural setting for a wedding ceremony and reception. Since vineyards are situated in rolling hills where there is a lot of natural light coming in, it gives a sunny and open atmosphere to your wedding. Chrisman Mill Vineyards (chrismanmill.com) located in Nicholasville is one of the vineyards in Kentucky that caters to weddings. • Banquet halls give you the assurance that rain or shine, your ceremony will take place. There's also the Brown & Williamson Club (no website; 2800 S. Resort Parks

• For those who prefer a setting close to nature, you can have your wedding in one of the resort parks in Kentucky that offer wedding services. There's Pine Mountain State Resort Park (no website; 1050 State Park Rd., Pineville; 606-337-3066), which offers a view of the Cumberland Mountains. You can also visit Blue Licks State Resort Park (no website; Highway 68, Mt. Olivet; 859-289-5507), which lies next to the Licking River in the northeastern section of Kentucky.
  
  

Museums

• The Frazier Museum (fraziermuseum.org) in Louisville accommodates wedding ceremonies and receptions. It has a rooftop garden that overlooks the Ohio River, which can be your ceremony venue, and you can use one of the function rooms as your reception venue. Another museum in Kentucky that hosts weddings is the Conrad-Caldwell House (conradcaldwell.org) at St. James Court. It's an old house equipped with manicured gardens with a large water fountain. There's also Hopewell Museum (hopewellmuseum.org) in Paris, which houses a huge art collection depicting heritage of the Paris and Bourbon County area.
