I'm a Lavazza Ground Coffee Addict
Some people open their eyes and think about what they need to do that day. Other folks wake up and instantly check the weather to see if it will rain. Some people use the quiet early morning time to meditate and clear their heads for their day ahead. Still others snuggle back into the pillows for one more delicious snooze. Not me! The initial thought that usually enters my head every morning is "Oooh, coffee!" I'm positively addicted to Lavazza ground coffee.
Just knowing that there is a pour of fresh brewed coffee only moments away makes it easier to get out of bed. In truth, it makes it hard to stay in bed, when I could be awake and drinking that wonderfully aromatic Lavazza ground coffee. And I absolutely adore the weekends… nothing beats brewing that first pot and creeping back into bed with my favorite book or a great movie. It's the small things in life, the common rituals, that give us a sense of who we are and our place in the world. For me, coffee is simply one of those simple pleasures.
What Would Buddha Drink?
For me, that first cup of Lavazza ground coffee each morning is a Zen event. I am totally present in the process of opening the container (aaah, can you smell that?), measuring the grounds, and carefully pouring the water into the pot. I fiddle around the kitchen straightening up from the night before as the coffee brews, and pick a favorite mug from the cupboard. The mug, by the way, is almost as important as the coffee itself. It must be the correct shape to curl my hands around, the right heaviness to feel significant enough for the Lavazza ground coffee goodness, and created from the right materials so it keeps the coffee warm without burning my hands.
With the kitchen cleaned up and the coffee prepared for pouring, I watch as the dark delectable liquid fills my mug. Measuring the right amount of cream, I watch as it swirls gently into the darkness, steadily lightening the entire mugful to a soft creamy tint of brown.
Mug in hand, I wander out to the screen porch off the kitchen. In the summer months I hear the birds and the buzzing of the woods waking up, whereas in the cooler months I wrap up in my favorite afghan and savor the warmness of the steam rising up to my face. Any time of year, this is my moment, my favorite time of the day. That initial taste of the perfectly brewed Lavazza ground coffee instantly clears my head of any leftover cloudiness, and my day of the week begins.
Could it be that I have discovered my bliss in a mug of coffee? Is this my morning meditation, served up steamy warm and delicious? I think of what it would be like to share a mug of coffee with Buddha, sitting quietly in the morning peacefulness, letting in the day one aromatic sip at a time. I believe we would all get along great; me, Buddha and Lavazza ground coffee.
Whether you prefer regular or decaf, Lavazza ground coffee will always brew up fresh and great. Choose from the dark and bold Premium House Blend or maybe the Gran Filtro 100% Arabica. And taste the goodness.
