Cashing a Cashier's Check
- 1). Make sure the cashier's check is legitimate by contacting the issuing bank to verify the check. The phone number on the check may be fraudulent, so get an official bank phone number online or from directory assistance before calling for verification.
- 2). Endorse the check by signing your name on the back in the space provided. If more than one name is on the check, all parties must endorse the cashier's check.
- 3). Go to your local bank and present the cashier's check and your personal identification such as a driver's license, state issued ID or credit card. Cash the check and receive or deposit your funds.
