Aerosmith have been a fixture in rock music since their first self-titled album was released in 1973. During their 45 years as a band Aerosmith have sold 140 million albums worldwide — 70 million in the U.S. alone. On June 15, 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Famers headlined the Download Festival at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. Aerosmith decided to capture their scorching career-spanning show at Donington Park by filming and recording the high definition concert film Aerosmith Rocks Donington 2014.

Although some video footage of Aerosmith's previous 1990, 1994, and 2000 Donington Park concerts exists, nothing approaches the video and sound quality of Aerosmith's new concert film — which aired in movie theaters nationwide in February 2015 and will be released in multiple formats September 4th.

In the concert film Aerosmith performs a blazing 20-song set that proves the band defies age and is still firing on all cylinders. Steven Tyler's vocals soar as he owns the stage with his energetic showmanship and swagger. Guitarist Joe Perry proves himself one of the rock's most iconic guitarists trading leads and interlocking rhythm guitar riffs with guitarist Brad Whitford. The solid rhythm section of bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer provides the solid musical backbone that has been the anchor of Aerosmith for their entire 45-year history.

Headlining the massive Download Festival as part of the band’s “Let Rock Rule” tour, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton, and Brad Whitford unleashed supercharged versions of "Train Kept A-Rollin'", “Love In An Elevator,” “Janie’s Got A Gun,” “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing,” “Dude Looks Like A Lady,” “Walk This Way,” “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Toys In The Attic,” “Mama Kin,” and more Aerosmith classics.

In Rock.About.com's exclusive interview with Joe Perry the legendary guitarist said, "You're giving people a show that's the best quality it can be that has been edited and mixed. Even though you can see just about every show now on YouTube, this is really for the hardcore fans. It has another layer of quality to it. Also for the people who were at the show it's a reminder of having a good time. We figured we could count on a good show because it was Donington. We have a lot of memories of some good times there. So it just made sense."

Steven Tyler said of Donington 2014, "It's always an absolute hoot that leaves me howling at the moon, performing at Donington we couldn't have had a better time on stage that night. I could feel the vibes of all the greats pulsing through the stage like AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica and so many more.”

Filmed in high definition, the critically acclaimed concert film will be available on multiple formats: Blu-ray+2CD, DVD+2CD, DVD+3LP and digital formats for North America and DVD, Blu-ray, DVD+2CD, DVD+3LP.  Details about a special pre-sale--with bonus items--of Aerosmith Rocks Donington 2014 will be available in the coming weeks.
