- Writing in Korean script can be a challenging task because it involves new characters quite different from the Roman script used in the English language. When writing words in Korean, it is not like writing in English where letters forming the words are written in linear form from left to right. Although there are times that Korean letters are written in linear form from left to right as well, most of the time, the letters are broken into syllables and each syllable would require either writing certain letters beside the preceding letters or writing the letters under the preceding letters.
