    • It can be reassuring and pleasant to come home to a good roommate at the end of a long day. They can provide hours of entertainment and fun activity. If you're a good practical joke artist, a fun thing to do with a friendly roomie is to try to freak her out, of course always in a nice, light-hearted way.

    Give a Scare

    • Jump out and scare your roommate. This can be an entertaining way to give a little shock. Try hiding behind doors when you know your roommate is approaching or inside a closet when your roommate is getting into bed. Once she realizes there is nothing to be afraid of, you'll share a good laugh.

    Cut It Out

    • Make a large cardboard cutout of your roommate. Many copy or paper stores will let you bring in a photo and make a cardboard cutout of the person in the picture. Have one made and simply place it in your living room or kitchen. When your roommate sees it she'll definitely be freaked out and maybe even a little flattered.

    Decorate

    • Put up eclectic decorations in your room, like tons of cat photos, space travel memorabilia or make it all one color. When your roomie sees your obsessive decorations, she'll definitely have some questions about your sanity. You can even opt to decorate your room exactly like hers, which again may flatter her.

    A Simple Photo

    • Take a photo of your roomie when she doesn't know you are, such as while she's asleep, and frame it. Put it up somewhere where she'll see it and wonder how you got it and why you framed it.

    Draw Some Pictures

    • Draw numerous pictures of the two of you together on various trips or doing things like playing soccer or swinging. While she may appreciate your creativity, she'll definitely be freaked out by the fact that you've imagined the two of you on various adventures.

    Rearrange

    • Move the furniture around slightly. One trick is to move all of your furniture a few inches in one direction, which will distort the room slightly. Your roommate will be freaked out and may have to ask if her eyes are deceiving her.

    Séance

    • Hold a séance in your living room when you know she's about to come home. When she walks in on her seemingly normal roommate holding an out-of-the-blue séance, she'll question her opinion of you.

    Talk

    • Talk to yourself constantly when you know she's in earshot. She'll definitely be freaked out when she realizes her roommate is having conversations with invisible people. You may not want to carry this one on for too long, as your roomie may try to get you psychiatric help.

    Play with Strangers

    • Put up photos of people you don't know all over the house or apartment. When your roommate asks about them, say you don't know and leave it at that. She'll be scratching her head trying to figure out why you've put up the photos.

    Costume Fun

    • Dress up in costumes for a week. One day you could be a cat, the next maybe a magician or a witch. When she asks about it, you can act offended to ensure she won't ask again. She'll definitely question your sanity when she finds you dressed as a frog drinking your morning cup of coffee.
