How to Remove the Rear Bumper on a Dodge Intrepid
- 1). Open the trunk. Remove the wheelhouse splash shields using the appropriate socket or wrench. Remove the screws that hold the bumper fascia onto the bottom of the rear quarter panel.
- 2). Remove the screws that hold the trunk lid lining to the lower deck panel. Pull the trunk lid lining away from the lower deck panel. Unscrew the nuts that hold the bumper fascia to the rear edge of the quarter panel.
- 3). Unplug the wire connector from the body harness by pushing the plastic tabs in and pulling the plug out. Pull the bumper fascia off the vehicle. If the foam insert is damaged, remove the nuts holding the foam insert onto the back of the vehicle using the appropriate socket. Pull the insert off the back of the vehicle.
