How to Set Your Mail Priority

    Outlook Express

    • 1). Open Outlook Express and allow the program to load.

    • 2). Create a new mail message by click on "Create Mail." Compose the mail message as desired.

    • 3). Click on "Tools" and then "Set Priority." Choose the priority for the mail message by click on the appropriate name. This adds the priority to your message. Click "Send."

    Microsoft Outlook

    • 1). Open Microsoft Outlook by double-clicking on the icon or going to "Start," then "Programs," and then click on "Microsoft Outlook."

    • 2). Create a new email by click on "New." Create your mail message.

    • 3). Locate the priority icons on the Outlook toolbar. High priority is a red exclamation point and low priority is a blue downward arrow. The message defaults to normal priority. Click on the appropriate priority and click "Send."

    Mozilla Thunderbird:

    • 1). Open Mozilla Thunderbird and allow the program to load completely.

    • 2). Create a new mail message by clicking on "Write." This brings up a blank mail message.

    • 3). Compose the mail message. Click on "Options," then "Priority," and then locate the level of importance to mark this message and click once. Click "Send."
