Decorations

• Themed baby shower decorations are first on the list of things to get. However, be sure to add some creative decorations as well. Hang a laundry line up and hang outfits, baby socks and cloth diapers from the line. Use baby car keys or pacifiers as napkin rings. Instead of using a gift table, put the gifts in a stroller or crib for decoration.
  
  

Favors

• Give away party favors such as small plastic baby bottles filled with mints or nuts or baby booties or socks filled with candy and tied with a ribbon. Bake cinnamon rolls and place each one in a small plastic bag. Tie a ribbon on the plastic bag with a note that says "Thank you for coming to _______ and her little bun in the oven's baby shower." Arrange party favors on a table to use as a centerpiece or in a basket by the front door for guests to grab on their way out.
  
  

Food

• Put out a variety of appetizers such as a vegetable tray, fruit tray, chicken strips, pickle and olive tray, deviled eggs and mini sandwiches. Make a large bowl of punch using a half-gallon of sherbet ice cream and a 2-liter bottle of ginger ale.
