  Many folks must travel by air to reach a port of call before they ever take their cruises. Travel agents, travel websites and even the cruise lines themselves have responded to this need by offering all-inclusive packages for their customers. This adds airfare into the cost of your cruise, often at a discount. Comparison shopping is critical, however, since these airline tickets bought in bulk may not vary in price seasonally the way regular tickets do.
  
  

Cruise Lines

• Carnival Cruise Lines offers an airfare supplement program called Fly Aweigh, which you can book directly through the cruise line itself. These tickets are booked at the lowest coach fare and come at substantial savings to you. Representatives coordinate flights to Carnival's ports of call and an in-house monitoring system makes sure that if any flight delays occur that other arrangements are made at no cost to you. This includes any hotels, flights or meals.
  
  

Hawaii-Aloha

• The website for Hawaii-Aloha offers discounts for Hawaiian vacation packages by travel agents located in Hawaii. This includes discount airfare from the Mainland to Hawaii, as well as cruises. Cruise ships include such recognizable names as Celebrity, Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Because Hawaii-Aloha offers these cruises at lower cost, you can "island-hop" between the six different islands so that you may enjoy the whole of Hawaii during your vacation.
  
  

Orbitz

• Travel websites compete for your business by offering discount vacation packages and all-inclusive cruises. Orbitz features year-end cruise clearance sales and discount airfare is sometimes included in the offer. In October of 2010, a four-night package on Norwegian Cruise Lines included reduced airfare from $99. This limited time offer also included 50 percent off the deposit and free on-board spending up to $300. A ten-night package from Oceania Cruises also offered free airfare as an available option.
  
  

Seek Discounts

• If you decide to book your next cruise vacation yourself remember cruise lines sometimes offer discounts for the military, for seniors and for those in unions. Even places of residence can work as a discount. Early bird booking also can work to your favor. When you book a room, where you stay and what kind of cabin you choose can also save you money.
