Making a Caramel Macchiato and Other Espresso Drinks
Different coffee shops all have different tasting mixed drinks.
However, you might notice that it seems hard to re-create them at home.
Why is this? Well, it's because they follow a special recipe.
Now, if you really want to re-create how they're going to taste, then you're going to want to have an espresso machine of some sort.
This will give you the highly concentrated nutty rich coffee in the proper volume.
However, if you don't have one that's okay.
You can use regular coffee, but just remember to bring a little stronger.
Now, to make the caramel macchiato, you're going to need vanilla flavored syrup, milk, and caramel sauce in addition to the coffee.
What you do, is put the vanilla syrup and at the bottom of your mug.
Do this while the espresso is brewing in and out of steaming.
Then, you're going to pour the steamed milk into the cup.
Fill it up almost all the way to the top.
Then, you're going to want to drizzle the caramel sauce across the top, and you can put as much or as little as you like.
Last, you pour the espresso or coffee in through the steamed milk.
This is what gives the drink its famous flavor.
The espresso is poured in at the end, rather than the beginning.
For traditional flavored lattes, you just do things opposite.
You still pour in the surfers, but you pour the coffee and at the bottom rather than the milk.
Then, you pour the steamed milk and over-the-top.
Now granted this won't change the flavor that much, but for the fine coffee drinker you will notice a difference.
This is how these coffee shops make their expensive drinks.
If you do it yourself, you can enjoy all the flavor and you'll save a lot of money in the long run.
