You Want to Kill Yourself? (3)

Another thing that can make somebody to commit suicide or murder is when the person is operating under a curse.
A curse as we already know is a word, statement or ordinance issued against a person(s), place or thing.
It can come from God, fellow men or from the enemy.
When we disobey God's word, we put ourselves under a divine curse.
When we offend people or elders, we can be cursed.
Then, the enemy can also use curses as weapons against us even when we are innocent or ignorant.
It is not only humans that can be cursed, a place; land, house, village, town can also be cursed.
And this can affect anybody living within that particular environment.
Now, any of these levels of curses can take a person to the point of always thinking of how to take away his/her life, or in effect, actually force a person to do just that.
Curses come to make life choking, difficult, frustrating and unappealing.
They make advancement slow, difficult and sometimes impossible.
And other times, you feel an unseen force compelling you to do or think what ordinarily, you would not like to think or do.
When a curse is issued, there are always spirits mandated to carry out the decrees and they don't retreat until they have fulfilled their mission, or the curse are broken.
A divine curse can only be broken by repentance and obedience to God's word.
Human curses by apologizing or making peace with person and asking for forgiveness.
But curses from the enemy or agents of Satan can be repelled by prayer, fasting, holiness, the word of God and being spiritually alert all the time.
Now, can we move forward since we are not treating curses as our main a subject? I brought the issue of curse here because; a lot of people have killed themselves and others this way.
And the story of this man we are using as case study also had it that in August 1986, in the same village, a man, his wife, son, daughter-in-law, nurse, guests were all murdered in a dinner party.
Some were even raped, strangled to death and their bodies set ablaze by the gunmen.
Now, when a place has a history of violent killing and even high mortality rate, that is not traced to any medical reason, it will not be out of place to suspect that such a place might be under a curse.
So, this young man might have killed his wife and kids and committed suicide under the influence of curses on that place.
It is possible.
In the bible, we can also see some of these things.
Look at the case of Judas that killed himself after betraying his master - Jesus Christ.
The bible, from the Old Testament had made it know that anybody that will do what Judas did will be cursed.
Even Jesus Himself said that it will be better that that person is not born at all.
And what happened? Even when Judas was remorseful over his treacherous action, the curses forced him to commit suicide.
Also, look at the case of Ahithophel; the chief adviser to King David.
He betrayed David's trust, joined Absalom to work against David.
When his advice was rejected, he went and hanged himself.
Yes, treachery as well as other sins can always lead to such disastrous end.
The bible made it very clear that a man and his household can suffer and even die because of curses.
Today, like Ahithophel, people also kill themselves.
Due to pride.
They can't imagine themselves being in a very humiliating situation.
They can't imagine themselves being rejected.
They can't be able to go through that shame.
Such disappointment.
Such failure.
Such loss.
And what will the enemy do? He will quickly suggest suicide to them as an easy, total and final way out of their problems.
He will not tell them that they will end up not solving the problem, creating more, and ultimately find themselves in hell.
Suicide, murder, etc, have never permanently solved any problem.
Problems and challenges of life can only be taking care of through patience, perseverance, doggedness and totally depending on the word of God.
I think we have something to learn from the great Job of the bible.
This acclaimed righteous man lost everything he had in a very quick succession.
He lost all his children, all his businesses and servants.
He was terribly sick.
His friends deserted him; accusing him of suffering because of his sins.
His wife gave him final blow that should have destroyed any strong man, "Why do you still trust that your God? Curse Him and die.
" Job himself looked up and it seemed that God was very far from him.
But, mustered the 'last' courage to utter these eternal golden words, "all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
" "For I know that my redeemer liveth," "Till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
" He stayed in God despite all the challenges.
And consequently, God restored and blessed him more at the end.
God gave him twice as much as before! Please, don't ever think of killing yourself.
Continue believing God till the end.
The bible said that the end of a righteous man is always peace.
God bless you! http://www.
