Quick Review
Talk about niche products! This stuff--an innocuous powder called LiquiLock--fills one very small, specific need. But, it must be added, this need involves something so darned nasty and hideous that it's worth considering this product...
Well, first let's background the product. When you remove a toilet, a considerable amount of water remains at the bottom, as much as a half-gallon. Now, when I fix my toilet tank, I have no problem sticking my hand in that water--it's clean. But water at the bottom of the toilet bowl is not. Who wants to deal with that stuff? Not only that, but there is no way to avoid spilling that water on the floor when you unbolt the toilet. Even a pump doesn't get it all.
If I accomplish nothing else in life, I want to convince every person that, yes, they can install a toilet by themselves. So, for the DIY'er--if only for one use--LiquiLock would be worth it (it is sold in individual packs).
While I've never known a plumber to be squeamish about such things, I imagine that the 20 oz. size would make the job go a whole lot faster and cleaner.
