The MacDonnell's Law Family Law team has QLS Family Law Accredited Specialists in all our office locations - Brisbane, Townsville, and Cairns.
The Family Law team has expertise in all areas of family law and they take pride in providing prompt and reliable legal services to all clients, helping to reduce the stress in these difficult times.
Given the very private, personal and financial nature of issues involving family law, choosing the right family lawyer for your needs is important. In family law, confidentiality and trust are vital. You are entitled to have your lawyer (solicitor) listen carefully to the issues as you see them, provide objective legal advice, and ensure your legal needs are met.
Our family law specialists understand the framework in which family law operates and they take the time to understand your individual case to achieve the most beneficial outcome.
We also offer legal services in every field complementary to family law, reducing the likelihood of delays, costs or hassles in the resolution of your family law matter by facilitating easy access to additional legal services such as:
*wills & powers of attorney
*property & property settlements
*commercial
*taxation
*business structures & trusts
We know that not all family law and relationship matters need to end up in Family Court. Our family lawyers have a strong focus on dispute resolution and can advise you on out-of-Court settlements, or when it is advisable to proceed to Court.
Whether you are considering divorce, marriages, living with someone, or separation, our team know the complexity of the law and are sensitive to your needs.
Prior to commencing with MacDonnell's Law, Donna gained legal experience working as a volunteer at Cairns Community Legal Centre Inc.
Recently, Donna acted in the sale of a sub lease, which was part of a Crown lease for commercial premises. The matter was complex and included the transfer of numerous sub-sub-leases. In addition, the transaction involved responding to the purchaser with regard to due industry enquiries and dealing with the lesser and head lesser in obtaining consent. Although our client was based in South Africa, Donna was able to employ advanced IT systems and other resources to facilitate the transaction in a seamless manner.
Members of the MacDonnell's Law Wills and Estates team act in the administration of deceased estates in accordance with the deceased's will. This may involve obtaining probate where it is required and transferring property, shares and other assets to beneficiaries.
The MacDonnell's Law Wills and Estates team is also experienced in complex estate dispute matters, including when the deceased person died intestate.
