The "Secret" Law of Attraction: How It"s Worked for Me

Much has been said about the law of attraction since it was popularised in the book and subsequent documentary "The Secret" a few years ago.
I was surprised to discover a lot has not been positive.
Many call it a joke, a hoax, non sense, illogical alternative bull sh..
..
..
you get the idea.
Personally, I saw the law of attraction as a powerful tool that I've used to improve my life and alter my mindset.
My first experience was when I was working in sales.
I was working for guys that had used the law of attraction to create immense wealth and live extraordinary lives.
From that moment on, I too used this principle to create the life I've always wanted.
I have had many experiences of the law of attraction working for me.
Some big, some small, all amazing.
The first example came about a week after writing down my list of goals.
I wrote down that I wanted to have my photo taken with a celebrity.
I had no idea how I was going to accomplish this, I had no plan- I didn't even know which celebrity I would have my photo with.
However, that didn't matter.
I kept the thought in my mind and put it out there into the universe.
A week later, whilst I was in my local supermarket of all places, I happened to run into former Commonwealth games swimmer and Better Homes and Gardens host Johanna Griggs.
Now, the universe had delivered, however, my goal was to have my photo taken with a celebrity, not meet one in a supermarket.
The rest was up to me, I had to approach her and ask for a photo, which I did.
She was happy to oblige and we got a snap together on my phone.
My next example was a year in the making.
At the end of my first year of Tae Kwon Do, I attended the clubs annual Christmas party.
I found out that they give awards out during the party, one of which particularly interested me- Most improved.
I vowed that the next year I would be standing up, receiving the most improved trophy.
For that whole year, every training session I did, I would think about that award and tell myself that each session was getting me closer to it.
I certainly wasn't the best athlete, and I definitely didn't progress the most up the belt rankings that year, but every session I tried my heart out and thought about the award.
Every time I missed a session, I felt further away from it, which helped make sure I didn't miss many sessions.
Come end of the year, sure enough, they called out my name and handed me the award.
My final example is probably my biggest one to date.
On my goals list, I had written that I wanted to face death and live.
My reasoning behind it was that I had met several people who had had near death experiences and they had such a unique and positive outlook on life.
I wanted that.
In 2010, I became sick with the flu.
After a week of my flu getting worse, I ended up in hospital.
Turns out I had really bad pneumonia which was caused by swine flu.
I ended up in an induced coma, on life support for 11 days.
During those 11 days, at least twice I almost died when machines failed.
There was also the underlying thought that I wouldn't even survive at all.
Sure enough, I put it out to the universe to face death and live which is what I did.
The law of attraction, while it nearly killed me, it saved me.
These are just a few of the biggest experiences I've had.
Truth is, I see the law of attraction working for me every day.
Not only does it bring me opportunities I need and want, it also helps to shape me.
It gives me faith; it keeps me hopeful and ensures I remain determined.
To not believe I the law off attraction is, in my opinion, a disbelief in all those qualities.
