Rambla de Catalunya

The street known as Las Ramblas (sometimes La Rambla or Les Rambles) is actually a series of streets, each called 'La Rambla de something'). This page is about the section called La Rambla de Rambla de Catalunya. Rambla de Catalunya runs from Diagonal (a street that runs (unsurprisingly) diagonally through the city) to Placa de Catalunya.

Not traditionally regarded as a part of Las Ramblas, it does actually form a continuous street with the 'proper' Ramblas, but is separated from it by Placa de Catalunya.

What to Do on Rambla de Catalunya

On this part of Las Ramblas is Casa Pia Batllo, not to be confused with Casa Batllo. Casa Pia Batllo is an attractive building in itself, but it is not the tourist attraction that is Casa Batllo, which can be found on Passeig de Gracia.

Rambla de la Catalunya is less touristy than the main part of the Ramblas, though it still has a number of cafes that charge more than they should. Still, it is a pleasant place to take a coffee, if not necessarily the right place to go for a full meal.
