Find Your Vehicle

• One of the most useful functions of the Garmin Nuvi is as a parking spot locater. If you often forget where your vehicle is parked, for example, at big malls or shopping centers, use the Nuvi's "Set Location" function when exiting the car and add the address to your favorites. Bring the Nuvi with you. Then, when you want to find your car, use the Nuvi's "Off Road" function and then go into the "Where To" menu and select the parking spot. Find Your Coordinates

• If you're hiking and want to know your exact longitude and latitude, the Garmin Nuvi has a function to display your coordinates. Simply open the "Where To?" menu, then go to the second menu page. Conserve the Battery

• One of the best features of your Garmin Nuvi model is its long battery life, mostly because of its small size. However, there are some things you can do to enhance your Nuvi's battery life. You can dim the monitor brightness (the process varies according to model; check the owner's guide for detailed instructions) or turn off the simulator function. Doing both of these will noticeably increase the battery life when using it outside the vehicle.
