How to Reset Cadillac Trouble Codes
- 1). Locate the diagnostic port under the driver's side dash. Plug the OBD scan tool into the port.
- 2). Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "on" position, but don't start the engine. Wait while the scan tool reads the trouble codes.
- 3). Find a command on the scan tool that says "Delete Codes" or something similar. Select this command and wait for it to finish. It will say something like "Command Sent" or return to the main menu.
- 4). Unplug the scan tool from the port and turn on the engine. Check to make sure all warning lights and service lights have shut off.
