    Country Clubs

    • Founded in 1936, the Colonial Country Club (colonialfw.com) is one of the oldest continually operating golf clubs in the Fort Worth area. Up to 400 guests may attend a ceremony in the Southwing section of Colonial's clubhouse; this section may be partitioned into three rooms. On the third floor, the Colonial Country Club features the Leonard Room, which seats 150 guests and has a balcony offering views of the country club's golf course. Fort Worth's Woodhaven Country Club (woodhavenclub.com) has three venues for wedding receptions: Boaz Ballroom, Foursome Room and Terrace Room. The largest of the three venues, Boaz Ballroom, seats 200 and overlooks the club's 18th hole.

    Downtown Hotels

    • Many of Fort Worth's hotels have ballrooms and meeting rooms for wedding chapels. The Ashton Hotel (theashtonhotel.com), Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel (sheratonfortworth.com) and Hyatt Place Historic Stockyards (stockyards.place.hyatt.com) are some hotels in the downtown area with ballrooms. Each hotel provides on-site catering services and has an on-staff events coordinators. Located on historic Main Street, Ashton Hotel seats 150 guests for receptions in its elegant Winfree Ballroom; with a dance floor, the ballroom seats 120. This hotel also has the Winfield Scott Room on the second floor, which overlooks Fort Worth's Main Street.

    Banquet Centers

    • Banquet centers are facilities created for the sole purpose of hosting special events such as wedding receptions. The Guys and Dolls Ballroom (guysanddollsballroom.com) offers a country and western-themed environment for wedding receptions. This venue seats approximately 2,000 guests for private events. A full-service bar is available, and you can bring in outside catering services. Located in the Hunter Plaza district, the Red Oak Ballroom (norriscenters.com/en/cms/?791) seats approximately 280 guests for banquet receptions. The ballroom may be split into two rooms for smaller events. Red Oak has a list of recommended vendors for catering and floral arrangements.

    Historic Homes

    • Fort Worth is home to early 20th century homes that host indoor and outdoor wedding events. One of Fort Worth's oldest homes, Thistle Hill (historicfortworth.org/Rentals/ThistleHill/tabid/379/Default.aspx), was built in 1904 and offers its dining room and conservatory for receptions. Thistle Hill also has a tent available for receptions on the house's west lawn. The Victorian-era McFarland House (historicfortworth.org/WeddingsTours/BallEddlemanMcFarlandHouse/tabid/376/Default.aspx) facilitates receptions in the house's dining room, wraparound deck and outdoor patio. Wedding parties may bring outside catering services for events at McFarland.
