How to Make Honey Soy Marinade for Steak or Chicken
- 1). Put the dry ingredients--the garlic glove and the spice powder--into a bowl and mix them together.
- 2). Add the wet ingredients--the honey, soy sauce and sake--to the bowl and mix until honey is dissolved and everything is well incorporated.
- 3). Taste the marinade to make sure it fits your personal taste. Add more honey if you want it a bit sweeter or add more of the spice powder for a bolder taste.
- 4). Pour the marinade over 1 pound of thawed chicken or steak--in either a large freezer bag or casserole dish covered with plastic wrap--and let sit in the fridge for at least 4 hours before cooking.
