How to Use a RAZR Phone USB Cord
- 1). Turn on your Motorola RAZR phone and PC.
- 2). Install the phone tools software that came with your Motorola RAZR onto your computer via the included disc. Follow the onscreen prompts precisely and do not connect the phone to the PC unless you are prompted to do so.
- 3). Restart your PC as instructed. When you are logged back into your PC, connect the USB cord to your RAZR phone, then to your PC.
- 4). Allow the phone's drivers to auto install. Once your phone is connected to the PC, an "Installing Drivers" box will appear in your taskbar. Allow the drivers to completely install before closing the box.
- 1). Go to your PC's "Start" menu. Select "My Computer" and locate your RAZR phone's icon.
- 2). Double-click the icon and open the folder from which you want to transfer content.
- 3). Open the folder on the PC that you want to send the files to, then minimize the folder.
- 4). Left-click the file that you want to transfer to the computer and drag it down to the minimized PC folder. Repeat this action for each file that you want to transfer. To transfer many files at once, left-click the first file, then while holding down the "Ctrl" key left-click each individual file. Left-click the first file again and while holding down the left key, drag the files to the open PC folder. This action will drag over all of the highlighted files.
- 5). Transfer files from your PC to your phone by first opening the RAZR folder you want to transfer the files to. Next, open the folder that you want to transfer the files from on your PC, then drag the files over to the open RAZR folder and drop them in.
- 6). Close the phone's folders after the transfers are complete. Unplug the USB data cord from the PC and then from the phone.
