Perfect Family Time
There is so much to do and a lot that has to be completed.
Kids are mesmerized with the newest handheld games and have to socialize with their friends online.
Does it ever seem like you need more than 24 hours in each day just to fit in some family time? Add in a little TV and it gets even harder.
There is a well established method to get that needed quality time with your family.
Don't concentrate on making a big deal event that everyone gets really excited about.
This is good once in a while but not every week.
What kids really want is quantity time.
Go ahead and take each kid out for ice cream on separate nights.
Try this for one week each month.
Remember, no agenda, just ice cream.
You will be amazed on the conversations that will happen.
Kids many times just want that together time.
Sometimes they don't know what they want so they get really frustrated.
You may be able to side step this frustration by doing a very simple activity with them.
There are many ideas floating around that are easy to do.
Take a walk in the park (remember to swing along with your kid(s) and even prove you won't get sick on the merry-go-round.
Another idea that may confuse the kids (in a good way) is to help them with a chore once in awhile (not too often).
Help them do the dishes, take out the garbage, cut the lawn.
It's a great time to offer suggestions on how to do a better job, shorter period of time (you get the idea).
Remember, sometimes kids just want and need some good old quantity time!
