There are no surprises skin changes with age.
What is surprising is the number of serums, lotions, creams, salves and waxes that are supposed to reverse the aging process.
If that fails there are chemicals and injections like botox or finally the scalpel.
And then there is the cost! I've tried a lot of the over the counter drugstore stuff.
Most of the stuff I would give it a mixed review for success and cost.
I haven't got to needles or knives.
And I pretty sure I won't.
What I have done is taken a realistic look at my situation and made some practical choices.
I cannot stop the aging process.
But I can make sure I look my absolute best at every point along the way.
So what is the truth about skin changes with age? You can't change your genes.
You can make lifestyle changes: diet, water intake, sleep, exercise.
But the two main causes of aging skin we all share are
  • lower levels of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid
  • the environmental impact of pollution, toxins, and sun damage
These are the two things we can change to look our best no matter what our age.
There is a new breakthrough in skin care that at the moment is not available in over the counter skin care.
It is an adaption of keratin - a protein already in our bodies.
This unique form of bio-active keratin is adapted from the wool of New Zealand sheep.
It stimulates your skin to increase its production of collagen and elastin.
These are two of the building blocks of youthful looking skin.
By supporting your own skin's natural protein structure firmness and elasticity return to your skin.
It also stimulates the regrowth of skin cells.
This helps improve the thinness of mature skin and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.
Boosting hyaluronic acid in your skin is achieved by using an age old remedy sometimes called the Japanese beauty preserver.
This is a plant extract made from Japanese sea kelp.
It is used world wide as a dietary supplement and to maintain a beautiful complexion.
It is nutrient rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins for the skin.
It also stops the production of a harmful enzyme that lowers hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid is the third building block in youthful skin.
This plant extract moisturizes the skin and increases the skin's tone and frimness.
Twenty first century technology has developed a delivery system that can go deeply into your skin to eliminate free radicals (toxins) and sun damage.
This process involves creating a special microscopic formulation of the antioxidant CoQ10.
By miniaturizing CoQ10 nutrients do not just stay on the surface of the skin.
They are so small they can penetrate the seven layers of skin at the cell level.
This protects against aging caused by sun exposure; reduces wrinkles, nourishes the skin with antioxidants that destroy harmful free radicals and it stimulates the skin's own cell production.
My skin changes with age.
These three components change the look of my skin.
They are the consequence of a practical look in the mirror so I can look my best as I age.
