How to Install a New Ink Cartridge in the HP PSC 1350 All-In-One Printer
- 1). Turn on your HP PSC 1350 All-In-One printer and lower the paper tray. If already turned on with the paper tray in position, skip this step. If the paper tray doesn’t have paper in it, load paper into the tray before proceeding.
- 2). Lower the print-carriage access door, located above the paper tray, to reveal the interior of the printer and the print carriage. If you’re replacing a lower or empty ink cartridge for the first time, push down on the labeled top of the cartridge to unlock it from the carriage slot and then pull it from the slot.
- 3). Remove your new ink cartridge from its package. Grasp the pink tab attached to the tape covering the ink nozzles and copper contacts and peel the tape carefully from the cartridge.
- 4). Hold the cartridge in front of you with the label facing straight up, the ink nozzle pointing down and the copper contacts at the back of the cartridge. Angle the front of the cartridge down slightly so that the label faces you more and the back of the cartridge points up slightly. Slide the angled cartridge into its corresponding empty slot in the print carriage--black or photo cartridge on the right side; tricolor on the left side--and press it into the slot until you hear it snap in place.
- 5). Repeat the installation process with the second ink cartridge.
- 6). Close the print-carriage door by lifting it to its original position. Wait for a print alignment page to print out.
- 7). Lift open the scanner lid, place the alignment sheet face down on the glass along the left side and front edge of the scanner, close the lid, push the "Scan" button and wait for your HP PSC 1350 to automatically align the print cartridges. If done correctly, the blinking LED should turn off and the scanner will shut down in approximately 30 seconds. Remove the paper from the scanner, dispose in a paper recycle bin and begin printing.
