The winter is hard on everything: cars, roads, people, skin, etc.
It's just the time of the year that all people-minus snowboarders-really just dread.
There are a lot of things that are great about the winter time including the holiday season and the fresh start of a new year.
However, there are also a lot of things that really make people dread the season and wish it were over a whole lot soon.
For those people out there who suffer from dry skin, they know what we are talking about.
Dry skin in the winter is caused because of the low temperatures, harsh winds, and low humidity.
Those elements come together and just really give your skin a run for its money.
If you suffer from red, cracking skin in the winter, there are things that you can do to keep your skin nice and fresh.
No hot water.
When you are going to take a shower or wash your hands, try to avoid really hot showers and hot water all together.
Luke warm is about as warm as you want to get, so make sure that you don't go for the tempting hot showers.
Moisturize.
This means that you need to moisturize every single time you get out of the shower, every single time you wash your hands, ad every single time you feel like your skin is getting dry.
Moisturizer and lotions are your friends so make sure that you use them often and don't neglect your favorite smells during the winter.
