Under Mom’s Watchful Eyes

Any moms out there would agree with me that once in your mommy life, you freaked out when your baby decided to cry the whole day out. And then you say to yourself that even though you are doing the best that you can, something is not right somewhere. Funny thing is, even if you brace yourself with knowledge through reading, surfing the net and talking with other moms out there, a day like that will come. Tell you what, it is avoidable. It is inevitable. Babies are babies. They would express themselves through crying. Whether they need diaper changing, hungry, hot or just plain bored, they will cry. Who wants to be repressed of that freedom?

It is very important that you know when to raise the red flag. Since you have to wait for few more months to understand any sign language from your little one, why not try the €my ears and eyes are all with you€ method. Babies need close attention because we need to understand their needs. They are the most adorable thing in the world but the patience that we need to take care of them is immeasurable. They can't talk but we have to comprehend with them. They're needs are the usual give away. If he wakes up at five in the morning, then you must be prepared for a bottle of milk and fresh diaper to perk him up on an early morning play and pep talk with you. No matter how the night may have been for your baby (and of course, for you), it's the best way to start your day. That is a little activity to strengthen your mommy-kid bond.

Other than understanding baby's needs is also the topic of Child Safety 101. While playing at your baby's room together, you find the need to go to the bathroom. You left for half a second and viola a loud thud followed by your tot's cry. We cannot blame them for being experimental and all. They would want to explore and touch new color to other side of the room. Curiosity will always be a part of development. But we moms have to make sure that the coast is clear before we leave to do other chores on the household. One way is to baby proof the room and make sure that sharp edges are a big no-no for your child's safety. Accidents may happen.

Babies need close attention because they are still babies. They cannot take care of themselves and that is why we are here. There are a lot of things that might happen. Blame it to our ever-changing world. Weather could affect them, never ending needs and wants and of course, our undivided attention. Babies like getting their hands on anything they see. That is how they experience things. That is how they learn. But with unyielding patience, love and support, all the sacrifices will pay-off. Before you know it, you will be able to raise a happy and contented child.
