Have you ever wanted that taste of Europe but not the hassles of visiting the different countries by land? Try taking a Mediterranean Cruise.
Mediterranean cruises generally sail from May to October although some do sail from late April to early September and a very few sail year around.
Before you begin to book your cruise, choose a ship that has an itinerary that will suit your needs and has everything that you are looking for.
Carefully plan and choose your shore excursions and other city tours, because if you plan to book them independently you will need to have to have some cash converted to that country's exchange rate.
It is wise to consider booking your excursion through your cruise ship giving you the opportunity to see the same sights and saving you a little money and you won't have to deal with the exchange rates.
You will however need that country's Euro if you plan to purchase souvenirs while in port.
Money can be converted onboard ship and any that you don't spend can be converted back to the U.

dollar when you re-board ship.
Cruising in the Mediterranean in the fall is a perfect time to miss the entire summer tourist traveling abroad.
Depending on your itinerary, the fall weather is generally pleasant but check with the weather service for fall weather conditions to the cities and ports that you will be visiting.
If choose your Western Mediterranean cruise you will visit the major cities in countries such as Spain, Italy and France as well as intriguing and exciting Monte Carlo.
An Eastern Mediterranean cruise will take you to enticing countries such as Greece, Turkey and some of the Aegean Sea Islands.
The longer Mediterranean cruises will take you to both the Western and Eastern Mediterranean.
If this is your cruise of choice know what actual port of call your ship will dock in, some ships may not dock in a city that you wish to visit and another way transportationwill be necessary, so it may be in your best interest to take a cruise ship affiliated shore excursion.
Cities such as Rome, Athens, Istanbul and Florence offer some of the best ancient, cultural and historic sites there are while the Greek Islands are a must if you love beaches and the sun.
There is no other cruise that compares to a Mediterranean cruise if you want to see several countries in a short period of time.
Once you have made up you mind, as always book through a reputable cruise line or travel agent or agency.
